Kind words--thanks. I must seem like a sap...as you can see, my hiatus was short lived. Just found too much good here, and after a valium, wondered what the fuss was about (good advice). Thanks for the encouragement and support.

glad it was shortlived man - you've been very cool here and a good contributor - that was good discussion earlier. Looking forward to many more of your posts.

hello William! I read your trouble thread. I'm glad you're staying. Don't let any of these other knuckleheads (I love that word!) worry you none. I have noticed everyone has really begun to chill out over the past week or two that I've been here. haven't you noticed that too?

probably not my doing, but Dire has accused me of having an inflated ego, so to prove him right, I have to say then...it's all because of me!! :) you can thank me later! ha!

let's all sing along

It ain't me it's the people that say, men are leading women astray,
I say, it's the women today, smarter than the men in every way,
That's right the women are smarter, the women are smarted that's right.

Well thank you Dancinbear; you know that Dire and I get along fine...As a biologist, I have an affinity for fuzzy carnivores, and you and Dire are members of the same tribe even if dire wolves went extinct about 10,000 yrs ago. They were amazing animals--lots of them in the tar pits of So Cal; you would probably have to be a cavebear to really hang out with him, but the idea of the two of you impressive carnivores as the royalty of the forum is just great, even if you (and even dire?) have given up your namesake approach to dietary intake. Hmmm, better drop this thread before it gets any stranger...

Cosmic kindly informed me that the dire wolves in said tar pits had unnaturally large craniums but smaller than average brains. now how befitting is that of my general posting commments (and me in general)??? i guess i picked a great name huh??? cosmic is so kind to me :) - i only say that cause he is my bud and he wont be online til tomorrow afternoon.

the only part that I'm remembering from this is "smaller than average brains"... guess that explains everything then!!

Ya, i noticed that your leave of absence was short lived. But trust me, it's good to see your words again, and i know there are many who think the same. And hey, that '69 Dream Bowl show i mentioned? Those were the disks i just copied for you. Will put them in the post tomorrow. Jerry just shines, and that's a fact jack.
